چکیده
Abstract This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation that looks into acceptability and interpretation judgements Basque native speakers give to sentences with multiple i -/ bat ere indefinites in declarative sentences. It is argued are Polarity Items (PIs) rather than Negative Concord (NCIs), as they consistently associated existential reading unacceptable without overt negative licensor. That is, never rise a absence marker. also PIs differ from NCIs Strict languages such Greek relevant ways, thus reinforcing conclusion not NC language. study contributes better understanding conditions indefinite expression must meet be classified PI or NCI.
